Activity Level: Easy-Moderate
This trip requires good to moderate mobility, as many of the ports of call offer excursions with a lot of walking over uneven surfaces such as cobblestone, rocky paths, up and down hills and stairs. There are elevators on board the ship. In anchored ports of call, you will be required to go up and down stairs to reach the tender boat platform to disembark the ship. If you have limited mobility, you are required to travel with someone who can assist you.

Arrive in Athens, where you will have an entire day to explore this ancient city before boarding your ship. The capital, Fira, clings to the rim of the caldera 900 feet above sea. Take the cable car or giddy up on a donkey to climb the 588 steps to the top. Travel & Entry Requirements

Passports & Visas: All travelers will need a passport that is valid for six months after the last day of your trip. If you are a U.S. citizen, you do not need a visa.
If you are not a U.S. citizen, please check with both your country’s consulate and the consulates of the other countries we will be visiting to ensure that you do not need an entry visa or other additional documentation.
Important New Entry Requirements: The European Union is introducing the European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS) sometime in mid-2025. ETIAS is designed as an entry requirement for visa-exempt nationals traveling from 60 countries, including the United States and Canada. This system is being implemented to enhance security and streamline the entry process for travelers visiting the European Union.
US and Canadian citizens will be/are required to complete a digital application through the official ETIAS website or mobile application to enter the European Union. Starting sometime in 2025, if you are planning to visit one of the 30 EU countries for up to 90 days within a 180-day period, you will be required to complete a digital application through the official ETIAS website or mobile application. This requirement will apply to travelers who do not currently need a visa for entry into these countries.
While this might be an additional step in your travel preparations, it is designed to improve your overall experience by reducing waiting times and enhancing security measures. You can fill out your applications at: https://travel-europe.europa.eu/etias_en once the site goes live. Please be aware that most ETIAS applications will incur a processing fee of 7 Euros.
Specific Needs: Dietary, Medical, Mobility, and Other
If you have any medical, mobility, dietary, or other special requirements that you haven't yet shared, please reach out to [email protected] as soon as possible. To verify if we can accommodate your needs, kindly do so at least 90 days before your trip.
Vacation Stretchers
Olivia will offer a 1-night and 3-night pre-cruise vacation stretcher in Athens. More information will be available approximately 9 months prior to sailing.
Vaccinations
Please check with your local Public Health Department or personal physician regarding immunization requirements for all countries on your itinerary. You may also check the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Prevention’s website at: www.cdc.gov. Click on the Travelers’ Health section, then click on the destinations link and choose your destination in the “For Travelers” pull-down menu.

Air Travel
Airports
You will need to fly into and out of Athens International Airport (ATH). We encourage all guests to arrive at least one day early to avoid the stress of unexpected delays.
Airfare Discounts
Delta Airlines: The Delta Airlines discount code NM3S9 is good for up to 10% off and applies to flights in and out of Athens (ATH). Dates of travel are Oct 10 to Nov 2, 2025. Airfare can be booked no earlier than 11 months before the trip. Click here to book online or call the Delta Meeting Network at (800) 328-1111 Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. (EST) and refer to Meeting Event Code NM3S9. Not all fares are eligible for use with this discount code. Fare rules will determine eligibility.
United Airlines: The United Airlines discount code: Z Code: ZPTZ and Agreement code: 877055 are good for up to 10% off and applies to flights into and out of Athens (ATH). Dates of travel are Oct 12, 2025 – Oct 31, 2025. Airfare can be booked no earlier than 11 months before the trip. This reservation can be completed by visiting united.com/meetings (enter the Meeting Code ZPTZ877055 in the Promotions and Certificates box). Or by calling the United Reservations Meetings Desk at (800) 426-1122 and providing the Z code and agreement code (a service fee will apply). You can also choose to book through your preferred travel agency and provide the discount program information. Discount level applicable based on 1st letter of published tariff fare purchased.
Flight Arrival and Departure Times
Arrival: The Athens International Airport is approximately 31 miles from the cruise ship port of Piraeus. Depending on traffic, the transfer time is typically 40-50 minutes. We recommend you arrive into Athens no later than 12 pm on Saturday, October 18, 2025 to allow enough time to comfortably retrieve your luggage, go through immigration and customs, and make your own way to the cruise ship pier in Piraeus. Embarkation begins at 1 pm. All aboard is 5 pm.
Departure: You may book your departure flight from Athens (ATH) after 11 am on Saturday, October 25, 2025 to allow enough time to transfer to the airport after disembarking.
Luggage Allowances
While there is no luggage limit on the cruise itself, airlines often restrict (or charge) for excess baggage. Because each airline is different, and the regulations change over time, please check with your airline for baggage allowances.
Transfers to the Ship
Airport transfers are not included. Optional group transfers will be offered for purchase from Azamara. Information will be provided in your final travel documents approximately 30 days prior to the cruise.
During Your Trip
Electricity
Cabins are equipped with one standard U.S. 110 and European 220-volt outlet.
Excursions
Exploring our ports of call will be the highlight of your cruise. Excursions will be available for online booking approximately 30 days in advance of your cruise.
Gratuities
Gratuities are included in the cost of the cruise. Gratuities are provided for your cabin steward, dining room steward, bus person, maître d’, and other-behind-the-scenes crew members. If you receive exceptional service and wish to tip a bit more, it is always appreciated.
Internet and Email
There is an internet Center on board; minute plans are available. Guests may bring their own laptops and/or mobile devices and connect to the wifi.
Laundry and Dry Cleaning
Laundry, pressing, and dry-cleaning services are available onboard for an extra charge. Pricing is available on board. Self-service laundry is included.
Medical Services
There is an onboard infirmary. Medical services are an additional fee.
Money: On-Board Purchases
On board, the currency is $USD. All purchases made on the ship will be charged to your onboard account, which you create during online check-in.
Ports of Call
We will be at anchor and use shoreside tender boats during our stops in Santorini and Syros. The ship will be docked in Crete, Ephesus and Mykonos.
Phone
Each cabin has a phone which you may use to call cabin-to-cabin, and to the various onboard facilities. There is an additional fee to use this phone to call outside of the ship; cost is available on board.
Smoking policy
Azamara ships have a designated smoking area. All other areas of the ships are non-smoking, including all indoor spaces, pool decks, staterooms, and suites, including verandas.
Spa Services
Enjoy the luxurious Sanctum Spa complete with massage, facials and a myriad of other spa treatments. Massages and other services are available for an additional fee.
After Your Trip
Disembarkation
Disembarkation will begin once the ship has cleared customs and can be as early as 7 am. You will receive colored luggage tags to designate the time you will be called to disembark the ship.
Transfers to the Airport
Transfers from the ship to the Athens International Airport (ATH) will be available for purchase on board the ship. The Athens airport is approximately 31 miles from the cruise ship port of Piraeus. Depending on traffic, the transfer time is approximately 40-60 minutes. You may book your departure flight after 11 am on Saturday, October 25, 2025 to allow enough time to transfer to the airport.
