Two payment plan options are available when booking online or through a Travel Consultant:

1. Olivia Interest-Free Payment Plans: Olivia payment plans must be paid in full six months or 180 days before your trip. If a reservation is made at the six-month mark or less, payment in full will be required unless otherwise noted.

Cancellation Policy & Travel Insurance

Unexpected events can cause you to cancel your vacation. Because we are committed to this charter, we must strictly adhere to our cancellation policy as outlined in our Olivia Terms & Conditions. Transfer funds are nonrefundable and nontransferable from the point of sale forward.

    Climate

    The central regions of Thailand, including Bangkok, experience mild and comfortable temperatures during December. Daytime temperatures typically hover around 77° to 86°F. The southern regions, encompassing popular destinations like Phuket, Krabi, and Koh Samui, boast a warm and tropical climate in December. With temperatures ranging from 77 to 90°F, this is the perfect time to enjoy the stunning beaches, crystal-clear waters, and vibrant marine life that characterize the region.

    In general, the average temperature in Malaysia at the beginning of December is 85 °F. You can expect warm maximum daytime temperatures of around 84°F and nighttime temperatures around 77°F.

    Currency

    The official currency of Thailand is the Thai baht. The official currency of Malaysia is the Malaysian ringgit. The official currency of Singapore is the Singapore dollar. 
    Even in large tourist destinations where US dollars may be accepted, you are likely to get a better exchange rate in local currency. Check www.xe.com for current rates.

    Languages

    Thai is the official language of Thailand, but many Thai people study English in school or independently. This is most apparent in the major business capital of Bangkok, as well as other major tourist hotspots.
    The national language of Malaysia is Malay. It is spoken by over 80% of the population. The second official language of Malaysia is English, which is also one of the most spoken languages in this country. 
    Singapore’s four official languages are Malay, Mandarin, Tamil and English. Because of its bilingual education policy, most citizens speak two or more languages.

    Travel & Entry Requirements

    Passports & Visas: All travelers will need a passport that is valid for six months after the last day of your trip. If you are a U.S. citizen, you do not need a visa.

    If you are not a U.S. citizen, please check with both your country’s consulate and the consulates of the other countries we will be visiting to ensure that you do not need an entry visa or other additional documentation.

    Specific Needs: Dietary, Medical, Mobility, and Other

    If you have any medical, mobility, dietary, or other special requirements that you haven't yet shared, please reach out to [email protected] as soon as possible. To verify if we can accommodate your needs, kindly do so at least 90 days before your trip.

    Vaccinations

    Please check with your local Public Health Department or personal physician regarding immunization requirements for all countries on your itinerary. You may also check the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Prevention’s website at: www.cdc.gov. Click on the Travelers’ Health section, then click on the destinations link and choose your destination in the “For Travelers” pull-down menu.

  • Travel and Arrival

    Air Travel

    Airports: You will need to fly into Phuket (HKT) and out of Bangkok (BKK). We encourage all guests to arrive at least one day early to avoid the stress of unexpected delays. 

    Airfare Discounts: Save up to 15% on your airfare through our partner airlines. Airfare discount codes will be available approximately 330 days prior to the departure date.

    Flight Arrival and Departure Times: If you are arriving on embarkation day, please schedule your flight to arrive in Phuket by 12 pm. All aboard is 5 pm. Embarkation begins at 12 pm.

    On disembarkation day, please schedule your flight out of Bangkok no earlier than 12 pm.  

    Luggage Allowances

    While there is no luggage limit on the cruise itself, airlines often restrict (or charge) for excess baggage. Because each airline is different, and the regulations change over time, please check with your airline for baggage allowances.

    Transfers to the Ship

    Airport transfers are not included. The Phuket International Airport (HKT) is located 22 miles or approximately 45 minutes away from the cruise ship terminal. The Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) is located about 20 miles or approximately 40 minutes from Klong Toei port.

  • During Your Trip

    Alcohol on Board

    Guests are allowed to bring aboard two (2) bottles of wine or champagne per cabin. If consumed in public areas, there is a small corkage fee (approximately $15 USD + 18% gratuity). All additional alcohol (wine, beer, and/or hard alcohol), including alcohol purchased at ports of call, will be kept by ship’s staff and delivered to your cabin the last evening of the cruise.

    Electricity

    All staterooms are equipped with 110- and 220-volt electricity. These outlets are provided beside the dressing table mirror in your stateroom. 

    Excursions

    Excursions may be booked online approximately 30 days prior to departure. To facilitate the online booking process, you will be assigned a booking number and sent detailed information regarding shore excursions, including how to book.  

    Gratuities

    Gratuities are included in the cost of the cruise. Gratuities are provided for your cabin steward, dining room steward, bus person, maître d’, and other-behind-the-scenes crew members. Tips to your local guides on excursions are not included and are recommended. 
    Below is a suggested guideline per person: 
    Local guide: half day—$5 / full day—$10 
    Bus driver: half day—$2-$4 / full day—$4-$6 

    Internet and Mobile Phones

    Wifi plans are available onboard for your laptop or mobile devices. Pricing will be posted on board. 

    Laundry and Dry Cleaning

    Laundry and pressing service is available onboard. Dry cleaning is not available. Check onboard for pricing. 

    Medical Services

    There is an onboard infirmary. Medical services are an additional fee.

    Money: On-Board Purchases

    All purchases made on the ship will be charged to your onboard account, which you create when you first check in. All charges will be billed in US dollars. Please check with the front office onboard for further details. 

    Phone

    Each cabin has a phone which you may use to call cabin-to-cabin, and to the various onboard facilities. There is an additional fee to use this phone to call outside the ship; cost is available on board. We recommend using WhatsApp or FaceTime to make phone calls via wifi. 

    Smoking policy

    All indoor areas onboard, including cabins and verandas, are non-smoking, including vaping. Outdoor public smoking areas will be posted. 

    Spa Services

    The onboard WindSpa offers facials, massages, and many other services for an additional fee. 

  • After Your Trip

    Disembarkation

    Disembarkation will begin once the ship has cleared customs and can be as early as 8 am. 

    Transfers to the Airport

    Transfers to Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) can be purchased on board for flights departing on December 17, 2026. Depending on your departure time, you can opt for a tour and transfer to the airport.
