Mimi Gonzalez

Mimi Gonzalez is a comedian, writer, Pisces and feminist who farms black walnut in mid-Michigan in between live performances and facilitating writing workshops. Her favorite triggers: the U.S. military, bi-sexuality, MichFest, identity politics and real liberation. She’s been profiled in Curve and can be seen on Logo, Comedy Central and Gala y Univision even though her greatest feat of speaking Spanish is pronouncing her name correctly. When she’s not entertaining on an Olivia cruise, she’s working nationally at Prides, colleges, clubs, live military theaters and every bathroom mirror she meets. All of her comedy journals included poetry so in 2018 she made another dream come true and achieved an MFA in Creative Writing leading to a form of comedic expression she's calling "Punchlines & Poetry." Mimi believes deeply in serving the creative impulse in herself and others and is expanding the container of creativity for so many through her "Write Hear" writing workshops.
