Vacation Stretchers
We do not offer vacation stretchers on these small trips. However, prior to boarding the ship, all guests will be meeting at the Juneau Arts and Culture Center hospitality room (JACC) by 4 pm on August 16 and will embark the ship together shortly thereafter. If you would like to arrive a day or two early, there are two hotels on either side of JACC within easy walking distance. Ramada by Wyndham Juneau and Four Points by Sheraton Juneau are the most convenient hotels. Both are 3-star hotels, but the Sheraton gets a slightly higher rating on Trip Advisor. Great location for both. There is plenty to do in Juneau, such as visiting the Mendenhall Glacier, taking the tram to the top of Mount Roberts, taking a float plane or helicopter ride to see glaciers, and even just shopping. Viator.com and TripAdvisor.com are wonderful resources for Juneau tours.
Vaccinations
Please check with your local Public Health Department or personal physician regarding immunization requirements for all countries on your itinerary. You may also check the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s website at: www.cdc.gov. Just click on “Traveler’s Health” followed by “Vaccinations.”

There is a medical professional on board for any minor emergencies. There is no charge for this service. However, should you need further medical care, the ship will go to the closest port for assistance. For your own protection, we highly recommend you are covered with medical-evacuation insurance.

On these small trips, we usually have a few solo travelers, who mix and mingle with everyone. There are no Solos coordinators for a trip this small; however, you can start to meet other solo travelers online before the trip on the 2025 Wild Alaska Adventure.
After your trip
Disembarkation
After breakfast, disembark and we will take a walk in Sitka National Historical Park, where Tlingit and Haida totem poles tower over coastal trails. Visit the Alaska Raptor Center for an up-close look at Alaska’s birds of prey. Transfer to the airport for your flight home or to a hospitality room at Harrington Centennial Hall for later flights.
