Included Hotel Amenities on Arrival Day, February 16
One of the wonderful arrival services and amenities of your Whales and Sea of Cortez Adventure trip is a complimentary hospitality room at the all-inclusive Barceló Grand Faro Los Cabos Hotel. This is for all guests to use on Saturday, February 16 until we depart for La Paz at approximately 4 pm.
Should your flight arrive prior to 2:30 pm, your included transfer from the airport will take you to this hotel where you will receive a day-use wrist band to enjoy the food, drinks and amenities of the hotel prior to your departure to La Paz. This is included in the price of your trip!
Cruise inclusions on arrival day, February 16 ONLY:
- Meet and greet service from San Jose del Cabo airport
- Group transfers from airport to the host hotel, Barceló Grand Faro Los Cabos
- Use of hospitality room on February 16 (water provided)
- Storage of your luggage and carry-on luggage until departure to ship
- Day use of host hotel resort facilities with refreshments and lunch
- Bus transfer from the Barceló Grand Faro Los Cabos Hotel to the ship in La Paz, Mexico at approximately 4 pm February 16 (approximately 2½ hour drive)
If you prefer to come in earlier than February 16 and book the same host hotel, we suggest you book your room directly with the hotel (contact information below). Unfortunately, the group rates quoted to us were higher than what you could purchase on the Internet. For this reason, we are not able to offer pre or post packages for you. We consider this hotel a 3.5-star hotel. It is a very large hotel with music and activities by the pool all day, great beach location, clean and comfortable accommodations, beautiful sunsets and the food is decent. Transfers from the airport are NOT included if arriving prior to February 16.
Barceló Grand Faro Los Cabos
All-inclusive, this 3.5-star hotel sits on a beautiful, white sand beach along the sea. Grand, sweeping views, pampering service, and inviting spaces offer guests a tranquil experience. Spend time walking along the ocean or swimming in one of the hotel’s four swimming pools or relax at one of the 5 restaurants and 3 bars. Finely appointed rooms have private balconies and generous amenities for total comfort during your stay.
For a quieter, more upscale and intimate experience, we also recommend the Casa Natalia in the heart of San Jose. Though not an all-inclusive experience or on the beach, it is in a perfect location of the old town of San Jose for shopping and restaurants. Beach access and a Nature Reserve Access is included. This is considered a 4-star experience.
Located in the historic village of San José del Cabo, this chic 19-room boutique hotel is set in an oasis of palm trees and tropical bougainvillea. For a quieter, more luxurious stay, this hotel has been selected by Trip Advisor as a winner of their 2015 Certificate of Excellence Award. Designed by a renowned architect, the hotel features an outdoor palapa lounge with view of the hotel’s cascading waterfalls, half-moon swimming pool, dramatic open-flame braziers, an innovative Mexican-Euro restaurant, and full-service bar and tapas. Guest rooms are uniquely designed and furnished with regional Mexican motif.
If you are arriving or departing on a day earlier than the program start-date of February 16 or later than the program end date of February 23, you will need to make your own arrangements for transportation from or to the San Jose Del Cabo Airport. Check with your hotels to see if this is something they can assist you with.

BOOKING AIR INFORMATION:
February 16, 2019: Your flight should arrive into San Jose del Cabo by 2:30 pm for included transfer to the ship in La Paz. You will be taken to the host hotel until your departure to the ship in La Paz at approximately 4 pm.
February 23, 2019: Your departure flight should be scheduled for after 1 pm. You will be transferred directly to the Los Cabos airport after breakfast. An option to be dropped off at our host hotel will be available for those who either book late flights after 5 pm or are overnighting in Los Cabos. Transfers to the airport for these guests will be on your own.
