Day Description Arrive Depart
Fri
July 28, 2017 – Reykjavik, Iceland
Welcome to Iceland! Treat your eyes to crayon-colored buildings, eccentric architecture, and crystalline waterfalls cascading over velvet green hills in the world's most northernmost capital, as lively and spontaneous as the geothermal activity beneath its surface.
5PM
Sat
July 29, 2017 – Heimaey Island, Iceland (with scenic cruise to Surtsey Island)
Today we witness a world still in transition. Circle Surtsey Island, which rose from the sea in the 1960s. Next up, Heimaey, where a volcanic eruption created a modern-day Pompeii in 1973.

July 30, 2017 – Seydisfjordur, Iceland
Today, relish in the private event happening just for you! You’ll enjoy a concert, as well as popular local drinks and canapés – including the Icelandic delicacy, reindeer meat – at the photogenic Blue Church. You’ll even have the chance to join a traditional ring dance after!

Mon
July 31, 2017 – Seydisfjordur, Iceland
As bird watchers head to the remote beauty of Skalanes Nature Reserve, trekkers can make their way to spectacular Hengifoss Waterfall. Or simply stroll the quaint town of 700 with its colorful Norwegian kit-houses shipped in at the turn of the century.

Tue
August 1, 2017 – Akureyri, Iceland
Akureyri nestles like a gem at the head of Iceland’s greatest fjord. Just a stone’s throw from the Arctic Circle, it offers some of Iceland’s warmest weather. The perfect place to ride an Icelandic horse or soak in the sky-blue Myvatn Nature Baths.

Wed
August 2, 2017 – Isafjordur, Iceland
A breathtaking journey up Isafjordurup Bay precedes our arrival in Isafjordur, surprisingly urbane for a village of 2,600. Old Town’s 19th century buildings take you back to the days of the tall ships, while the abandoned town of Hesteyri remains frozen in the 1940s.
12PM8:30PM
Thu
August 3, 2017 – Grundarfjordur, Iceland
Viking sagas come to life in the geography here, as does Jules Verne’s tale Journey to the Center of the Earth. You may also be inspired to set pen to paper, but don’t feel bad if words fail you. The views defy description.

Fri
August 4, 2017 – Reykjavik, Iceland
Your trip ends with breakfast this morning. Be sure not to miss one of the 25 wonders of the world, Reykjavik’s Blue Lagoon. This geothermal spa is located on a lava field and is a steamy 99-102°F (37-39°C) year-round.
