ok.... my bad.

WE will be going to the US Virgin Islands...porting in Charlotte Amelie... the Baths of Virgin Gorda are on the BRITISH part of the Virgin Islands... another port all together.  Sorry.  But there are some AMAZING things to do there too.

If you look at a map of the Virgin Islands... they are broken up into St Thomas... St John.... Tortola.... Virgin Gorda... so forth.

Oh well... we will find an amazing excursion here too... or, like everyone says... we will simply TAKE OVER somewhere!!  yee ha

Yeah, the lesbians pretty much took over the Margaritaville in Grand Turk on our last cruise.  We did touristy stuff since we'd never been there...this time we'll be joining the Margaritaville takeover!  LOL  Stick out tongue

The Baths of Gorda were offered when I ported in Tortola....we had to take a short ferry ride over.....

So I assume it will be offered when we port in St. Thomas?

BTW, last year when I went to Turks & Caicos it rained lightly  :{  But we were absolutely freezing on our mini-boat adventure and we weren't allowed to snorkel....however, there's a Margartiaville restuarant right at the dock, which also has a huge pool and a beach area....so we were still able to party and swim....

Donna

Which port is that at? I haven't been there and didn't know about it.

the particular one I was talking about is just a short bus ride from the port.  none of them are too bad.  and that one is also one where you can just lay around and watch everyone play in the water, or be really active...either one.

wow, all that sounds great.  I just spent the last 45 minutes looking on line at the various ports and ideas to do while there.  One thing I learned is that its illegal to take any shells from the beach in the Virgin Islands, and if they are found in your luggage they may be confiscated.  Hmmmm.

It seems there are a lot of "beach" tours.   All I want to do sometimes is go down to the beach to lay in the sun and play in the water.   Are the beaches usually far from where the boats dock?  I take it they are not within walking distance?

I have to say that the Baths is one of the most amazing excursions I have ever been on.  It is all "self propelled"...(meaning you can go through the caves as fast, or slow as you want)   I recommend going through stone cold sober though.... (I raised up while walking through one of the caves that was tent shaped, and knocked myself unconscious!!)  When you eventually come out on the other end...it is sooooo beautiful!!!  SO many picture ops!!!  The beach at the beginning is so much fun, and you can just play all day in the water and sun!!  (some of the other cruise ships ported and went here the day I went... and they soon learned that the LESBIANS WERE TAKING OVER!!!)  Wink hee hee

The excursion to see the Virgin Baths of Gorda sounds really amazing.  I'm all about playing in the water!

I HIGHLY recommend the Virgin Baths of Gorda.....
There's a hike\walk through cave-like boulders and the water is gourgeous!
There is also a nice beach on the other side where you can snorkel if the waves aren't too crazy.
The waves were really strong when we were there, but it was still really fun.

Hi Again.  Just checked out the site.  We're interested in either the "Daysail & Snorkel" or the "Baths in Virgin Gorda" excursion.  Thanks.
