 I phoned about a month ago and got the same answer - so I hung up, and phoned the MAIN hotel chain line, not the individual hotel, who said "yep we can do that" they then transferred me back to the hotel itself and  booked we at the Olivia wing that is apparently under construction...? oh well.  it looks way better than any hotel I have ever stayed at! 

Thanks so much for posting, SLOTraveler. It must have been your post about the hotel that I read earlier today and then Wen checked on the rooms (thank you, Wen!) and said there were rooms available--and I began to think I was losing what's left of my mind.

Well, I guess I'll just have to sleep on this tonight and see what's what tomorrow. Thank you, everyone.

I just checked and there is still room at the hotel. Call the local # 954.525.4000 and tell them you would like a room in the "Olivia room block" and that they should look for the "Olivia group" in their system. That should work. E-mail me if it doesn't and I'll see what I can find out for you. :)

Hi, everyone! I've spent the last couple of hours going through all the details about the Caribbean trip and reading most of the group messages, because I'm getting ready to sign up for the cruise and didn't want to leave anything to chance. Sooooo, I'm aware of of all the good (Caribbean, sunshine, lesbians: What's not to like?) and the bad (the change in entertainment, the fact that the hotel is booked up at the Olivia price, yadda, yadda). Anyone have any last words of advice before I take the (not inexpensive) plunge?

Side note to Inde: I live in Seattle, so I just wanted to say "howdy" to another local girl!
