The Hawaiian dresses sound great!  It is really fun to read about everyone's wedding preparations!  Yes I won't be at the Hard Rock evening but will be flying in a day early to catch David Byrne in concert in San Diego -- I cannot believe my luck - he has a new album out, produced by Brian Eno. Can't wait for October! Party!!!

My wife and I are also wearing Hawaiian dresses (got them at Hilo Hatties) and Leis!  My wife is Irish Chinese and her family has lived in Hawaii for many generations now.  All of her relatives celebrate things the Hawaiian way.  I can't wait to be a part of it for our legal wedding and first REAL honeymoon.

Okay, since my partner and I have always wanted a Hawaiian wedding, I will be wearing a traditional Hawaiian long dress and my partner will be wearing a matching shirt. We have been together 20 years and are so excited. We are looking forward to meeting everyone.

I am wearing a white skirt which has silver and black beaded designs on the bottom and a silver short sleeve sweater with a white belt over the sweater, silver shoes.  My partner, K.C. is wearing black pants (always pants) with a white long sleeve shirt and we found her a silver jacket (not blazer style).  We found the skirt and jacket at Coldwater Creek on line and found her pants and shirt at Norm Thompson on line.  We are the "oldtimers" - been together 33 years.  We are SO excited about the whole thing: getting married, our first Olivia cruise, the freedom, and meeting wonderful new friends.

My partner & I are still trying to decide what to wear.  I'm thinking I will probably do a spaghetti strap style dress or some other dress/skirt. Possibly more towards the casual side rather than super formal.  My partner (going to be wife, Wink ) is looking for pants, button up shirt & possibly a light v-neck vest or something of that nature.... she isn't sure yet, it's hard to find clothes that aren't super girly (pink, sparkly, flowery etc),  but still slightly girl-ish (I'm sure there is a certain term for this style).  Probably a stupid question, but do any of you know of specialty shops, online stores, websites etc that you or your friends shop at that have that certain style? We live in Colorado & haven’t found a place that fits her style.  Any help you could give would be super appreciated.  :) I guess if all else fails, she could always just sport a rainbow flag! HA HA

Thanks for your help/suggestions.  If we ever finalize our outfits, I will let you know.

We decided to go more formal since this time it will be legal.  I have a cream dress and my partner is wearing a suit.

On the wedding attire - still trying to figure that one out, but likely leaning more casual than formal.  We're counting the days and really looking forward to meeting everyone.  If we make any decisions on our wedding attire, we'll let you know.

Hello to everyone........we are so looking forward to meeting as many people as we can on the cruise in October...we almost have everything together except our wedding attire.  Are people wearing formal attire for the wedding and reception at the Hard Rock?  Or is everyone dressing casual........or does it really matter?  What are the thoughts of others?

Congrats on your wedding.  My partner and I have been together 13 years.  We celebrated with an Olivia cruise (Western Carribean) on our 10th anniversary and did an Olivia resort (Punta Cana) the year after that.  Had to take one year off as our two four-legged children were getting up in age (13 and 15).  We lost both and have now gotten another puppy, but it's time to start enjoying Olivia once a year.  Looking forward to seeing everyone in Oct 08.

Congratulations.  My gf and I are looking forward to this trip.  We live in San Diego but can't wait to get into some warm water in October.

Cheers!
