Hey Lynn,

Drove through your area on Tuesday on the way to Lynchburg.  We are going down on Sunday morning, so we won't be staying anywhere.  I will probably be working on Saturday since it will be tax season.  I was lucky to be allowed to go for the week, so I kept the days off to a minimum.  We are landing in Ft Lauderdale  in the morning from Richmond.  Hopefully, we don't have any freak snow storms that day. We'll  have to meet on the ship.  We are in room 1042.

Hey Sandie and Martha,

Lynn here.  Just wanted to say hi, and BTW, in your previous message you said you were going down on Sunday before the cruise, but the cruise leaves on Sunday...did you mean Saturday?  Anyways, we are leaving out of C-ville early Sat am, and if all goes according to plan, we will be there (Fort L) by early afternoon on Sat.  We have yet to book a hotel, however.  Where are you staying?

I think it will be great to be in a women's environment.   I have always wanted to go to the Caribbean and then Olivia had this big price cut so thought it would be wonderful :)  I really think it will be great!

Hey Deb,

Our last trip out flights kept getting changed.  This time we went with Jet Blue and so far so good.  But we do have two more months to see.  Martha is an RN at a rheumatology office and I am an accountant.  I am currently (until Tuesday) working for a non profit organization, but will be working at a CPA firm starting next Monday beginning to do non-profit audits.  We have been together for 16 years (in January) and have been on two prior Olivia trips.  Our last cruise was a year ago and we are ready to  get back on another one (actually we really just wanted to stay, but they made us leave Crying )  It would be nice to meet up with you guys on the trip.  Maybe we could plan a dinner together.

Hi Cindy and Amy,  My partner and I have been longing to take the Olivia Plunge.  We had a fabulous time in P- town over Memorial Day Weekend.  While Charlottesville Virginia is a university town there are few places to meet and mingle with other professional lesbians. We look forward to having fun with you and others!  Deb and Lynn

We have both wanted to go on an Olivia cruise for a while and we were planning on it for our ten year anniversary.  With that still two years away we ended up winning the sweepstakes for the March cruise.  We even had plans to hide out in P town for a week in March but hhmmm....lets see....since we're from Ohio we could continue to freeze our butts and still go to P town or....... escape to the warm sunny Caribbean.  What a tough one.  Lol!  Caribbean here we come!!!  We're really looking forward to letting our guard down, being ourselves and making some new friends!      TravelParadiseSmile

Hi Dr. Randi…this is Phyllis, Cheryl is my better half J

Thanks for the well wishes about my graduation...and congrats on yours! This cruise is Cheryl’s gift to me and she is treating me to everything on this vacation. This has been such a trying year and I don’t know what I would have done without her.

This trip means so much to me…and us. We have been together almost 15 years and have always wanted to go on an Olivia cruise. I am looking forward to having uninterrupted time to snuggle with my sweetie and time to party with everyone else!

Is it March YET??

1. Cruises have always been my absolute favorite vacation

2. I've been with Alex for 3 years and she believes she wouldn't like a cruise.  I know she's wrong, but hence, we've not gone on a cruise since I met her..I've let her choose places she wants to go or has been before.

3. I filled out a sweepstakes entry

4. I won this cruise for two

5. Now she cant refuse!

(she'll love it...it's my 9th cruise and my 1st Olivia cruise. I am so excited!!)

Cheryl,

That is great that you are taking Dr. Phyllis on this cruise as a celebration for accomplishing her PhD. I know 1st hand how difficult that is, I finished mine 2 years ago, took 14 years to get my AAS, BA, MA, MPhil and finally the PhD.  Mine is in Psychology, specifically Learning Processes: I work with people with autism.

Mickey went on our 1st Olivia trip to turks and Caicos club med last month. I have to say the experience was fabulous. olivia woman are so friendly. It is freeing, as we have been together and never so outwards affection. At the resort that changed. Even my sister commented on how much more "relaxed" we looked in the photos. I even refer to Mickey as my wife instead of my partner.  That really began after that trip. We have the paperwork (domestic partnership) in NJ, but since there is NO marriage in NJ why not call it what it is, we are married!

My partner and I have been looking at the Olivia trips for years and have always dreamed of taking one.  Someplace where you can be free to be yourselves and not feel self conscious of being judged.  We often go to P-town which has the same feeling.  It's awesome to be able to be affectionate and hold hands without people staring....

We have been waiting for this for so long and can't wait.....

I just booked this cruise while I was at the Olivia Laugh Out Loud II in Turks & Caicos.  This coming cruise will be my 7th Olivia Cruise and there is nothing like it.  I have traveled on 4 straight cruises and I've had loads of fun.  I like to come out to people on the straight cruises and I've had mostly positive responses. But again there is nothing like an Olivia Cruise because everyone is out for at least a week and its very liberating.  You will meet lots of new friends from all over the country.  I live in the San Francisco Bay area and I have become friends with couples from Mississippi, NY, Michigan, San Diego, Sacrament, NJ, Canada all as a result of meeting on an Olivia cruise or resort.  My spouse and I met a couple from NYC on the Alaska 2006 cruise and we have become close friends.  We meet at least once a year on an Olivia vacation.  All of you first timers are in for the time of your life. ENJOY!!!
