Wow, I am sure everyone is excited and I wish I was joining you all on your cruise adventure. I have been on several Olivia Cruises and they are wonderful. I am from Fort Lauderdale, and I for any ladies who are interested in enjoying Fort Lauderdale while you are in town I reccomend a few ideas. 1. Take a stroll along Las Olas Blvd and grab a bite to eat. 2. Visit Wilton Manors and check out the gay life there, it is a unique place. 3. New Moon is a lesbian bar in Wilton Manors and the place to be on Friday Night. 4. On Saturday night the Party is called VIXEN at the Sea Monster, this is one hot dance party and there is an outdoor patio that overlooks the waterway. It is just 3 miles from the Marriott and very easy to get to. Visit www.pandoraevents.com for the address. 5. The Galleria Mall is a nice break and a good place to shop. 6. Take the Water taxi - it is the cheapest fun tour you can have of FT. Lauderdale

I just have been swamped with my new job at a two hospital system. Haven't had time to do anything till this week. I am coming in from The Villages where I moved two months ago! Just love it. Can't wait to see you and catch up! Save travels!

Well, I guess if we are reduced to discussing the weather..... Was in the 30's this morning in Houston area - had to wear a coat to work. Back in the 70's this afternoon. Had to strip down to my skivvies for the walk home!

Going down to 45 tonight...unheard of except maybe for the two weeks of winter we get in January. I'm gonna have to go buy socks.

I packed my sweats and long sleeve shirts. Even if the weather is warm, the ship can be cool.

Add me to the list of those wearing shorts when it's 50+ degrees - We've got highs in the low 30's all week too - and the wind makes it worse! Course, I'd rather go on a cruise when it's COLD up here than when it's warm!!

I agree with Gouldak...50's is still shorts weather! Currently 31, forecast high for this week until we leave is low 30's...and lows in the upper teens and low 20's. Still havent gotten my winter clothes out yet, but they are sitting in the living room in a tub (waiting to pack my summer clothes for trip...then pack rest away)
