Ladies...

Thank you so much for all the camera info.... I'm kind of leaning towards the Kodak or Sony camera but I will look a little further into all before I make a purchase.  I'm also interested in the zipline tour.  Can anyone give me a little more info... dates, price and such?

Jen, is there any way we can upgrade our rooms?  I can't believe their giving ocean view rooms away for $499.

Do I have anyone interested in being my matchmaker?  I would love to meet a really cool, cutie, caring woman.  What do you say ladies, can I get your help here?

Hey Jessica... I was issued a Sony Cybershot at work a couple years ago and it was a little workhorse.  I think the megapixels are 7.1 (or something close) and I've blown up pictures bigger than poster size on our CAD printer.  I actually liked it so much that I also purchased one for home.  Last year we were issued new Cybershots and I still am a fan.  I think it's a decent buy for the under $200 camera range.  I have been looking into the underwater Olympus (for snorkelling, etc)  Anyone have that one?

P.S. - I wonder how (not) crowded the club will be if they are offering Ocean View rooms for $499 per person?  I think we should all be upgraded a step and then they can "give away" the cheaper rooms.    Grrrrrr.

Hello everyone!

We are counting down the days until Cancun & can't wait to meet all of you. As far as cameras we have a lighter smaller compact Olympus camera sp-350 (8 megapixel) & a larger Sony cybershot dsc-f717 (5 megapixel). The smaller one we keep with us by the pool & the larger one we like for zoom for the shows & movie shots at night. Good luck with your purchase! We also purchase at home inexpensive underwater disposable cameras from Target for snorkelling that we get for every trip. They are much cheaper to buy at home vs at the resort.

How about Wed for those of you who have interest in ziplining? Therefore no conflicts with Tues fishing.

Our suitcases are now out & the clothes elimination begins...(always take waaaaay too much!)

Here are my thoughts on cameras.....I think the smaller cameras are really cute, however with only the LCD screen I can't see what I am taking a picture of in the sun... I bought a CAnon Powershot A570 for around $150 (7.1 Mega pixal with 4x zoom)before my Cruise In January. I love it because it also has a view finder.The power shot is a little bigger(ok twice as thick as some of the other cameras)  Olympus have some cute cameras that are also shock and water resistant and some water proof for around 3oo dollars

I also have a VUPOINT (5.0 mega pixels)digital camera--I do not recommend--except it came with a plastic casing so I can take pictures while snorkeling...

I have not started packing yet...however I did make an appt to get a Tetanus shot.  I havent had one in many years and just want to be careful.

Anyone else planning on doing some of the exercise classes....sounds kind of crazy but I am planning on at least 2 classes a day....

Hello All

 Des would like to zipline with you guys but I will be sitting this one out. I am a big sissy when it comes to repelling down or crossing a rope bridge. The zipping is great but the other stuff scares me. I have a Sony Cyber Shot digital camera and I love it. We are so looking forward to this trip. I cannot wait to go fishing. Is anyone leaving the Philly area on flight 931 American Airlines? Ok here is are the numbers..

Jessica, as far as digital cameras...Definitely buy something with higher mexapixels as Peggy suggested.  You will be happier with the quality.  Try the comparison option with Best Buy as well as reading the reviews on Amazon.com.  We use both when trying to make an electronic purchase. 

I'm having visions of zipline in my mind.  I've always wanted to do it (though I'm scared of heights) and may give it a try. 

We are looking so forward to relaxing and meeting you all.  Let the countdown continue!!!!!

We bought a digital camera in 2006, Olympia is a good camera, ours cost about $400.00, it also does videos....if you go cheaper watch out for megapixel, they go as low as 2...ours is a 8 megapixel, now they have 9's and 10's...the higher the megapixel the better the picture is, very sharp and very clear....Kodak is a good camera too and cheaper...

 Hey girls help me with this, does anyone have a digital kodak camera?????  Lets give Jessica some advice, I am sure there are a lot of cameras out there!

Hello Ladies....

I've been looking into buying a digital camera for the trip and would be interested in some adivce.  I'm looking for a really good camera at a great price point.  I would like it to be very small and easy to use. I normally don't take many pictures on vacation but think this trip will be one I want to remember and look back on often.

Any advice would be very helpful.  My suitcase is out, and I'm now beginning to pack.  I'll see you all very soon! Just think, sand, sunshine, great friends, laughter and so much fun.... All that and more is waiting for us.

All this talking about zipline...Kris finally saw some of the posts (I think it was yours Debbie)  She may need to join you guys as well...although same unavailability due to fishing on Tuesday.  Her ears perked up like an inquisitive dog and I heard "Zipline?"  I'm not sure if it's my thing or not...still thinking (and you never know) but I'm kinda leaning towards "not."

Hi Ladies...... This is Mary from Nanaimo, Vancouver Island, B.C.  I too, will be joining you in Mexico.  Although the spring flowers and tree blossoms are well underway here, it has not been that warm.  I am looking forward to a bit of summer in Cancun and then maybe it will heat up a bit here for when I return home.

I am travelling down a week early to do some hiking and touring around before the get- together with you gals at Club Med.  My base for the earlier week will be the Westin Resort in Cancun.  I do not think it is too far from the Club Med as best as I can tell. 

No doubt there will be a lot to see and do!!!  Cheers, Mary 

Hey girls!!

I just wanted to say hello to everyone.  I've been in Chicago for the last several days on business.  I must say it was a fun trip but really cold.  I'm not use to cold weather anymore and am a bit of a wimp. Since it was in the high 80's when I left arizona I thought it would be a little warmer in Chicago.  While I was there I thought of all of you.  I thought about how much closer I was and how much fun we will have in just a short time.

Debbie and Wendy- I wanted to let you know that I flew on Frontier airlines and everything went really well.  I felt the flight attendents did a great job at making the flight comfortable for all the passengers and it arrived on time.  Plus I didn't have any problems getting my luggage.  Given all the problems with airlines these days I would definetaly flew Frontier again.

I'm getting so excited to see all of you..... I know the next couple of weeks are just going to fly by and soon we will by sharing our first laughs and drinks together.   I look forward to hearing from all of you soon.....
